• Study progress: Bookmarked concepts, viewed concepts, and study timer data. This is stored locally in your browser unless you sign in, at which point it syncs to our database.
• Usage data: We use Google AdSense and standard web analytics to understand how users interact with the site. These services may collect cookies and anonymized usage data per their own privacy policies.

2. How We Use It

• To sync your study progress across devices when you are signed in.
• To show you relevant study content and features.
• To serve contextually relevant advertisements via Google AdSense (ads are what keeps this app free).
• To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.

3. Cookies and Advertising

Tech Cert Prep uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage

Without an account: All study data (progress, bookmarks, timers) is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. We never see this data.

With an account: Your study data is stored in a Supabase database with row-level security enabled, meaning only you can access your own data.

5. Your Rights

• Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. This removes all stored study data and your email from our database.
• No account: If you use the app without signing in, we hold no personal data about you.

Tech Cert Prep uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication (privacy policy)
• Google AdSense — advertising (privacy policy)
